Ingredients For baby ruth bars

4 coatmeal

1 cbrown sugar, firmly packed

1/4 clight karo syrup

2/3 cmargarine, melted

1/4 ccrunchy peanut butter

1 tsppure vanilla extract
- ICING

6 ounce pkgsemi-sweet chocolate chips

6 ounce pkgbutterscotch morsels

3/4 csmooth peanut butter

1 tsppure vanilla extract (optional)
How To Make baby ruth bars

1Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease a 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish.

2In a large bowl, combine the oatmeal, brown sugar, corn syrup, margarine, peanut butter and vanilla. Stir until moist. Spread in pan (batter will be thick). Bake for 12 minutes; cool slightly.

3Combine chocolate and butterscotch chips, peanut butter and vanilla in small saucepan. Stir until melted. Spread on warm bars.
