These nuts are great for gifts. Just put in a pretty tin and my friends love them.

Ingredients For candied nuts

  • 2 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground all spice
  • 2 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp
    ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 4 c
    pecans or almonds

How To Make candied nuts

    Line a baking sheet with foil and lightly grease (I spray pan with Crisco),set aside. Combine sugar and water in medium sauce pan, bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to medium. Combine cinnamon, all spice, and nutmeg in small bowel. Add spice mixture to sugar mixture, mix well. Continue stirring about 5 minutes, add vanilla and nuts. Immediately pour onto pan. Cool 5 minutes and pull nuts apart into individual pieces. Cool completely.
