1 csifted flour

1/2 tspbaking powder

1/8 tspbaking soda

1/8 tspsalt

1/2 cwalnuts chopped

1/3 cunsalted butter, melted

1 cbrown sugar, packed

1 lgegg, lightly beaten

1 Tbsppure vanilla extract
-
1/2 cwhite chocolate or vanilla baking chips
- FROSTING

1/4 cmaple syrup (any good kind)

1/4 cunsalted butter
-
1/3 cbrown sugar, packed

1 pkg(8oz) cream cheese, softened

1/2 tspvanilla extract or maple extract/flavoring if you prefer
How To Make white maple brownies

1Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add nuts, mix well, and set aside. Preheat oven to 350° F.

2Melt 1/3 cup butter, add 1 cup brown sugar, and stir well. Add egg and vanilla and mix well. Gradually combine with flour mixture, mixing well. Fold in white chocolate or vanilla baking chips. Pour into a 9-inch square pan and bake at 350° F for 20-25 minutes.

3To make the Sauce: Combine the syrup and butter, cook over low heat until butter is melted. Stir or gently whisk in brown sugar until dissolved and remove from heat. Add in cream cheese and vanilla or maple extract whisk until smooth. Return to heat until it reaches desired consistency.
