Ingredients For warm brownie pudding cake

  • 3/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 3/4 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/3 c
    plus 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 3 Tbsp
    butter or mrgarine, melted
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 3/4 c
    boiling water

How To Make warm brownie pudding cake

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9-inch square baking dish.

    Combine flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and 1/3 cup cocoa in a medium bowl.

    Combine milk, melted butter and vanilla in a measuring cup, stir into dry ingredients just until blended. Spoon batter evenly into prepared dish.

    Combine brown sugar and remaining 1/4 cup cocoa in a small bowl. Sprinkle evenly over batter. Pour boiling water over entire mixture; do not stir.

    Bake 35 to 38 minutes, until toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
