warm blueberry cake
This blueberry cake is delicious. I love that you serve it warm. This is a recipe that I tweaked. It originally came from my husband’s Aunt Josephine. It has a sweet lemony crusty top. It is a very old fashioned and a simple cake to make. I hope you all enjoy it. :)

Ingredients For warm blueberry cake

3 call purpose flour
-
4 tspbaking powder
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1 1/2 csugar
-
1/2 csoftened butter
-
1 1/3 clight cream
-
2 tspvanilla extract

the zest of 1 lemon
-
2eggs
- TOPPING
-
1 ptblueberries
-
1/3 csugar
-
the zest of 1/2- 1 whole lemon. use 1/2 for subtle flavor
How To Make warm blueberry cake

1Preheat oven to 350°

2Into a large bowl. Sift together the dry ingredients for cake. Stir to combine.

3Add butter, cream, vanilla, and the zest of 1 lemon.

4Beat until smooth. Add eggs. Continue to beat on medium high for 2 minutes.

5Pour into greased 9x13 inch pan. Smooth batter evenly.

6Mix ingredients for topping together.

7Sprinkle topping over cake.

8Place in preheated 350 degree oven. Bake in lower 3rd of oven for 40 min. Or until browned.

9Cool 5 minutes before serving Note: best served warm
