1 1/2 call purpose flour

3 tspbaking powder

1 tspbaking soda

1 tspground cinnamon

1 tspgrated lemon zest

1 cvegetable oil

1 cgranulated sugar

1/2 ccognac

2 cwater

1/2 cdark raisins

1/2 cyellow raisins

1 cchopped walnuts
How To Make walnut cake (karithopeta)

1Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.

2Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and lemon zest together.

3Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and lemon zest together.

4Mix in remaining ingredients, one at a time, until well blended.

5Spread batter into prepared baking pan.

6Bake 1 hour, or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

7Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar and cinnamon if desired. Cut into squares and serve.
