I had a box of fudge brownie mix in my pantry and wanted to make them into something special. This is what I came up with using some leftover marshmallow and chocolate icing. They are a gooey chocolate treat! I bet you could top these with crushed graham crackers and they would taste just like a s'more.

No one will guess these marshmallow brownies start with a boxed mix. The brownies themselves are chewy with bits of pecans throughout. They're topped with a swirl of gooey marshmallow creme and melted chocolate frosting. Sprinkling a dusting of pecan powder adds a slight buttery and nutty taste. This dessert is an easy recipe using a boxed mix shortcake that everyone will think is homemade.

Ingredients For very easy marshmallow chocolate brownies

  • 1 box
    fudge brownie mix, any brand (16 oz)
  • 1/2 c
    vegetable oil
  • 2 lg
    eggs
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans
  • 7 oz
    marshmallow cream
  • 1/3 c
    chocolate frosting
  • 1/4 c
    pecans, run through food processor

How To Make very easy marshmallow chocolate brownies

  • Prepare brownie mix according to package directions.

    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Mix the brownie mix according to the directions on the box.
  • Mix in chopped pecans.

    Mix in the chopped pecans.
  • Bake the brownies.

    Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted close to the edge comes out clean.
  • Cool brownies.

    Don't overbake them. Cool brownies until you can touch the pan but it still has a little heat.
  • Spread marshmallow creme on slightly cooled brownies.

    Spread the marshmallow on top of the brownies.
  • Melt frosting in the microwave.

    Now melt the chocolate frosting in the microwave for about 30 seconds.
  • Drizzle melted frosting over the marshmallow creme.

    Drizzle over the marshmallow.
  • Run a knife through the chocolate.

    Then take a knife and run it through the chocolate.
  • Pulse pecans in a food processor.

    Run 1/4 c of pecans through a food processor until they are powdery.
  • Sprinkle powdered pecans over the brownies.

    Sprinkle additional crushed pecans over the marshmallow and chocolate. Chill until set.
