vanilla frosted banana cake

I used to make this recipe into banana bars using a 15-in.x 10-in. x1-in pan. But recently made it and didn't have that size pan anymore so I used a dirrernt size pan and it made a wonderfully rich dense cake that my husband really likes.

Ingredients For vanilla frosted banana cake

  • 1/2 c
    butter or maragrine
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1-1/2 c
    ripe bananas, mashed, about 3 medium
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • pinch
    salt

How To Make vanilla frosted banana cake

    In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, bananas and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well.

    Pour into greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool. Frost when completely cool.
