I found this recipe on Pinterest years ago, and it has become one of my husband's favorite treats. He prefers to warm the cake in the microwave each time he has a slice, so I don't put the topping on it right away, unless I'm taking it to a potluck. We just cut each slice and serve with Redi-Whip, Cool Whip, or ice cream as needed!

Ingredients For too easy pineapple angel food cake

  • 1 box
    angel food cake mix
  • 1 can
    crushed pineapple in juice (20 oz.)
  • whipped topping

How To Make too easy pineapple angel food cake

    Preheat oven to 350.

    Pour cake mix into medium sized mixing bowl.

    Add can of crushed pineapple.

    Stir together. It will start to foam and fizz a bit, which is kind of cool.

    Pour batter into 13 X 9 in. baking dish.

    Place dish in oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until cake is golden brown and done.

    Allow to cool completely. Cover with whipped cream or Cool Whip.
