Ingredients For tiramisu

  • 5
    egg yolks
  • 1 c
    powered sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 c
    espresso
  • 4 oz
    rum
  • 1 sm
    heavy whipping cream container
  • 1 pkg
    lady fingers, comes with 2 sleeves
  • 1
    mascarpone

How To Make tiramisu

  • 1
    whisk together in a double boiler on med heat, the eggs & sugar about 5 mins, till light in color, set aside.

    fold in the room temperature mascarpone.
  • 3
    in a separate bowl make the whipping cream, hand held mixer until peaks form, mix in 2 oz of the rum & vanilla
  • 4
    fold in the whipping cream to the egg mixture.

    put the espresso and the rest of the rum in a shallow dish, and dip "quickly" each side of lady fingers and align on bottom of baking dish, then pour a layer of the cream mixture..repeat once more and finish by a dusting of cocoa powder, refrigerate at least 4 hours.
