three ingredient pecan cake

My mother found this delicious recipe in a magazine and asked me to make this for her 87th birthday. I did and it is not only so easy to make but decadent. You would never know it only had three ingredients in it. The syrup goes to the bottom of the cake making it very moist. Hope you will give it a try!

Ingredients For three ingredient pecan cake

  • 1 box
    yellow cake mix
  • 1 c
    pecans, chopped
  • 1 c
    maple syrup

How To Make three ingredient pecan cake

  • 1
    Mix Yellow cake mix according to instructions on box. Stir in 1 cup chopped pecans to batter.

    Pour into greased 9 x 13" pan. Pour cup of syrup over the batter and do not stir.

    Follow instructions on cake box as to how long to bake cake in 9 x 13" pan. Serve warm with whipped cream topping. Enjoy!
