When I first starting making this cake I was making 2 a week. My son's girlfriend request this cake with peanut butter icing for every visit:) I will follow with the peanut butter icing recipe.

2 tspbaking soda

1 cbuttermilk

1 coil

1 1/2 tspvanilla extract

1 cboiling water
How To Make the moistest chocolate "katie" cake ever

1Preheat oven 300 degrees, grease and flour 13x9 baking pan

2mix all dry ingredients in one bowl

3add eggs, buttermilk,vanilla, and oil to dry ingredients mix well about 2 minutes

4add boiling water mix until smooth

5pour into prepared cake pan and bake for 1 hour

6I always check this cake with a toothpick, when comes it out clean it's done. I have found depending on the weather you may need to bake a little longer up to 10 minutes. just keep checking it. ENJOY.....
