Ingredients For the closet coffee cake

  • 1 box. deluxe yellow cake mix, 18 oz
  • 1 pkg. vanilla instant pudding mix, 3 oz
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 t. vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup margarine, melted, 1 stick
  • 6 tbsp. flour
  • 2 t. cinnamon

How To Make the closet coffee cake

  • 1
    Mix the cake mix, pudding mix, oil, eggs, vanilla and sour cream in a bowl. Beat with mixer at medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour half the batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Mix sugar, brown sugar, melted margarine, flour and cinnamon in a bowl. Sprinkle half over batter in pan. Top with remaining batter and sprinkle with remaining sugar mixture. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove to a wire rack to cool.
