I got this recipe off another website I use, tastykitchen.com. I baked this cake, and it is the best chocolate sheet cake I have ever tasted. It's great for large crowds.

2 cflour

2 csugar
-
1/4 tspsalt

4 Tbspheaping spoons, cocoa

2 stickbutter

1 cboiling water

1/2 cbuttermilk
-
2eggs, beaten
-
1 tspbaking soda
-
1 tspvanilla
- FOR FROSTING

1/2 cfinely chopped pecans

1 3/4 stickbutter
-
4 Tbspheaping spoons, cocoa

6 Tbspmilk
-
1 tspvanilla
-
1 lbminus 1/2 cup, powdered sugar
How To Make the best chocolate sheet cake. ever

1I use 18X13 pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2In bowl, combine flour, sugar and salt.

3In saucepan, melt butter, Add cocoa and stir together.

4Add boiling water, allow mixture to boil for 30 seconds, then turn off heat.

5Pour over flour mixture, and stir lightly to cool.

6In measuring cup, pour buttermilk and add beaten egg, baking soda and vanilla.

7Stir buttermilk mixture into butter/chocolate mixture.

8Pour into sheet cake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

9While cake is baking, make the icing.

10Chop pecans finely.

11Melt butter in saucepan, add cocoa, stir to combine, then turn off heat.

12Add the milk, vanilla and powdered sugar. Stir together.

13Add the pecans, stir together and pour over warm cake.

14Cut into suqares, eat, and totally wig out over the fact that you've just made the best chocolate sheet cake. EVER.
