    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 2 c
    unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1 can
    fruit cocktail in syrup (16 oz can)
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 c
    chopped nuts
  • INGREDIENTS FOR THE ICING:
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 1 c
    coconut
  • 3/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    evaporated milk

How To Make texas tornado cake

    PREHEAT OVEN TO 325 DEGREES. GREASE AND FLOUR A 9 X 13 PAN. MIX ALL INGREDIENTS EXCEPT BROWN SUGAR AND NUTS.

    POUR BATTER INTO THE 9 X 13 PAN. COMBINE BROWN SUGAR AND NUTS AND SPRINKLE OVER BATTER.

    BAKE FOR 40 MINUTES.

    REMOVE CAKE FROM OVEN. THEN FIX THE ICING. BOIL COCONUT ICING IN A SAUCE PAN FOR 2 MINUTES. SPOON OVER CAKE WHILE HOT.
