I got this recipe from a friend who used to make it for gatherings. I never made it but ate it every time she baked it!! DELISH!!!

Ingredients For texas sheet cake

2 csugar, minus 6 tblsp

2 cflour
-
2 stickbutter, softened

4 Tbspcocoa powder

1 cwater
-
1/2 cbuttermilk
-
2eggs, beaten

1/2 tspcinnamon

1 tspbaking soda
-
1 tspvanilla extract
-
icing ingredients
-
4 Tbspcocoa powder

1 stickbutter, softened

6 Tbspmilk

1 boxpowder sugar
-
1 tspvanilla extract
-
3/4 cchopped pecans
How To Make texas sheet cake

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees

2Sift together sugar & flour; set aside.

3Mix in saucepan butter, cocoa & water. Bring to a rapid boil. Pour over sugar/flour mixture & mix well.

4Add rest of ingredients to that mixture(except for icing ings.)

5Pour into a 18x12 jelly roll pan. Bake for 25 mins.

6Icing: Combine cocoa, butter & milk in saucepan. Bring to a rapid boil. Add powder sugar and mix well. Add vanilla & nuts. Spread over warm cake.
