Ingredients For sweet potato bread

  • 1 3/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • 1/2 to1 tsp
    nutmeg, ground
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 c
    mashed sweet potatoes
  • 1/2 c
    canola oil
  • 1/3 c
    water
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla sugar

How To Make sweet potato bread

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

    In a large bowl combine flour, , nutmeg, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.

    In a small bowl combine the eggs, sweet potatoes, oil and water. Stir into the dry ingredients just until moistened.

    Spoon into a greased and floured 9 by 5 inch loaf pan. Sprinkle vanilla sugar over the loaf.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

    Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack.
