Ingredients For super moist chocolate cake & frosting

2/3 cshortening

1 tspsalt
-
2 csugar
-
1/2 cgood cocoa powder

2 eggs2 eggs +y yolks

1 csour milk/sour soy milk

2 Tbspexpresso instant coffee

2 1/2 cflour or cake flour
-
1 chot water
-
2 tspsoda
-
2 Tbspgood vanilla
-
1 tspaluminum free baking powder
How To Make super moist chocolate cake & frosting

1Mix all the dry ingredients together and sift 7 times(7 is my number of choice, the more the better, lighter texture).

2Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy, Add eggs 1 at a time beating well inbetween each addition.

3Add dry ingredients alternately with the sour milk of choice.

4Add Vanilla and hot water. This will be an extremely thin batter.. It’s OKAY!! This is why it is moist..

5BAKE 35-45 mins. Until pick comes out clean.

6This Cake seems like it takes forever to assemble.. but it is worth it. Try it you’ll see. This is the ONLY Chocolate cake I’ll ever make..Store bought mix.. NAH.. Add red food color to make red velvet and cut Chocolate powder in !/2 adding as much red as you want. I use red paste color from craft/cake store.. Powder color os ok to. Am not a fan of liquids.. never have been. Paste colors are more brilliant.
