You can use any variety of apple that you prefer; you can also make this with or without the nuts, and may substitute another type of nut instead of walnuts. You can frost this cake with a frosting of your choice, you can top it with whipped cream, you can drizzle it with an ice cream topping, OR you can serve it plain... it's just that good !!

Ingredients For super moist apple cake

  • 1 c
    canola oil
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 3 c
    flour
  • 3
    eggs
  • 3 c
    diced apples
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1/2 c
    chopped walnuts

How To Make super moist apple cake

    Mix the Canola oil with the sugar until well blended.

    Add the salt, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and eggs....mix well. Slowly add flour and mix well again.

    Into the mixture, fold the apples and walnuts with a wooden spoon and stir well.

    Place mixture into a 9 X 13 ungreased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.
