Ingredients For strawberry upside down cake

  • 1 box
    yellow cake mix
  • 1/3 c
    canola oil
  • 1 c
    water
  • 3
    eggs
  • 2 c
    strawberries, diced
  • 6 oz
    box strawberry gelatin
  • 3 c
    marshmallows, mini
  • whipped creme or ice cream for side

How To Make strawberry upside down cake

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare sides of 9X13 dish with cooking spray.

    Dice or smash strawberries and place them in bottom of baking dish. Evenly sprinkle gelatin over strawberries.

    Top with marshmallows. Pour batter over marshmallows. Place in preheated oven for 40-50 minutes. Let cake cool for 15 minutes.

    Take a knife and loosen the edges of cake from dish. Invert cake onto a serving tray.

    Serve warm or room temperature with whipped topping or ice cream.

    If you're using a different fruit, make sure to match up the gelatin with the fruit.
