My husband does not care for cream cheese. But he will eat that Strawberry Roll not knowing what the cream is made of.

Ingredients For strawberry roll

  • 4
    egg yolks, reserve whites
  • 4 Tbsp
    water, warm
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 4
    egg whites
  • 1/2 c
    cornstarch
  • 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 2 c
    whipping cream
  • 8 oz
    cream cheese
  • 1 box
    strawberry instant pudding
  • 1 box
    strawberry jello
  • 1/4 c
    sugar

How To Make strawberry roll

    Preheat oven to 375. Place wax paper on jelly roll pan. Beat egg whites stiff, place in fridge. Mix egg yolks, warm water, sugar and vanilla until creamy and sugar is disolved. Mix Cornstarch, Flour and Baking Powder add slowly to mixture. Fold in Egg Whites do not beat. pour onto Jelly Roll pan. Bake for 15 Minutes. Place a dish cloth on table and sprinkle with sugar. Immediately place baked cake onto towel and remove waxpaper. Roll it up and set aside to cool.

    Mix Cream cheese with sugar until smooth. Add whipping Cream, Jello and Pudding. Mix until nice and thick. Unroll the Jelly Roll and fill with cream mixture. Roll it up and sprinkle with powderd sugar. Decorate as you like.
