I taught school for many years. The school did a cookbook one year and I found the Strawberry Cake recipe in the cookbook. My children want this cake for their birthdays. It has been a hit at our home.

Ingredients For strawberry pecan cake

  • 1 box
    white or yellow cake mix
  • 1 box
    strawberry jello
  • 1 c
    oil
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1 c
    strawberries
  • 1 c
    coconut (optional)
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans (optional)

How To Make strawberry pecan cake

    Mix cake mix, jello, oil, and milk Beat well Add eggs one at a time Beat well, Add strawberries, coconut, and pecans

    Pour evenly into 3 cake pans that have been greased and floured Bake at 350 degrees for 25 or 30 minutes Cool for 15 minutes before frosting the cake

    Frosting: 1/2 cup of margarine, 1 pound powered sugar, 1/2 cup strawberries, (drained), 1/2 cup chopped pecans, 1/2 cup coconut 1/2 cup chopped pecans 1/2 cup coconut Cream margarine and sugar, Add strawberries, pecans,and coconut. Mix well and spread between layers and cake.
