Ingredients For strawberry pecan cake

  • 1 box
    white cake mix
  • 1 box
    (small size) strawberry jello
  • 1 c
    cooking oil
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1 c
    frozen strawberries, thawed and drained* (save juice)
  • 1 c
    coconut
  • FILLING / FROSTING:
  • 1 stick
    butter, room temperature
  • 4 oz
    cream cheese, softened
  • 1 lb
    powdered sugar
  • 1/2 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c
    frozen strawberries, thawed and drained**
  • 1/2 c
    coconut

How To Make strawberry pecan cake

  • 1
    for the cake: Mix all ingredients together, adding eggs one at a time. Bake in three layers for 20 to 25 minutes at 350 degrees.

    for the frosting: Cream sugar, margarine, and cream cheese well. Then add other ingredients. Let cake cool before icing.

    NOTE: Save the strawberry juice when you drain them and spoon it on every layer before you ice it. Let it soak in cake. I have to put toothpicks in my cake to hold it together.
