This cake came about from people commenting on the margarita cake I had submitted and wondering how it would taste with strawberries instead. Here is my version of it.

This strawberry cake is fun! The strawberry daiquiri mix gives this cake a nice punch of strawberry flavor. The glaze adds a sweetness to every bite. It's a wonderful addition to any dessert table.

Ingredients For strawberry daiquiri cake

1 boxwhite cake mix
-
1 box(3.4 oz) vanilla instant pudding

1 canfrozen strawberry daiquiri mix (thawed)

4eggs
-
1 stickbutter (softened)
-
1/4 cstrawberry puree (made from frozen sliced strawberries in sugar, pureed in blender)
- GLAZE
-
1 1/2-2 cpowdered sugar (sifted)

1 Tbspbutter (melted)

2 Tbsp(or more depending on desired thickness) strawberry puree
How To Make strawberry daiquiri cake

1Preheat oven tp 350°. Grease & flour a bundt type cake pan. (I use Bakers Joy.)

2Cream butter & add eggs one at a time. Add daiquiri mix & strawberry puree (see note). Mix well.

3Add cake, pudding mixes & mix well.

4Pour into prepared pan & bake for 45 - 50 min or until done.

5Let cool about 15 minutes before turning out onto plate. Let cool about another 10 minutes before glaze is added.

6Glaze: Stir powdered sugar, melted butter & strawberry puree together (1 Tbsp @ a time) until desired thickness. Drizzle over still warm cake.

7*Note* Completely thaw frozen sliced strawberries & mix in blender until pureed.
