Ingredients For sponge cake

    egg yolks
  • 1 tsp
    cornstarch
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 5 Tbsp
    cold water
  • 5
    beaten egg whites
  • 1 c
    flour

How To Make sponge cake

  • 1
    Beat egg yolks until thick, add sugar gradually. Add water 1 T. at a time, beating after each. Add dry ingredients all at once. Fold in beaten egg whites. Pour into greased 8-inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30-35 minutes.
