spicy pumpkin nut cake

I created this cake recipe by tweaking other recipes.The first time I made it, I sent it along with my husband to our church board meeting on a cool Fall Georgia evening. He said that everyone enjoyed & bragged on it. Please know, this is NOT a very sweet cake. You may add 1/2 - 3/4 cup granulated sugar to the batter, if you prefer a sweeter cake.

Ingredients For spicy pumpkin nut cake

1 boxbutter flavored cake mix

1 boxpumpkin spice or vanilla pudding (4 oz.)

1/4 cvegetable oil
-
4eggs
-
1 canpumpkin (15 oz.)

1/4 cwater or milk
-
1 tspallspice, ground
-
2 tspcinnamon, ground, (may substitute equal amts. pumpkin pie spice for allspice & cinnamon

3/4 cpecans, chopped

powdered sugar
How To Make spicy pumpkin nut cake

1Mix & beat all ingredients together (except for powdered sugar.)

2Pour into a greased or sprayed Bundt pan.

3Bake at 350 for 55 minutes.

4Cool in pan 15 minutes before removing onto cake plate.

5Sprinkle desired amount of powdered sugar over cooled cake.
