This is my favorite applesauce cake! I use our home- made chunky applesauce when apples are in season. If needed, put in food processor to break up big pieces and drain as needed. This is a yummy, moist cake. Add a dollop of whipped cream or creamy frosting and it becomes an even better dessert.

How To Make spicy applesauce cake

1Except for sugar: whisk all dry ingredients together in large bowl, set aside.

2Cream butter and sugar, then add lightly beaten eggs, dry ingredients, and applesauce beat until mixed well. Stir in nuts, chips and raisins.

3Pour into greased 9x13 pan. Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle over batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until tests done.
