During, and directly after high school, I worked in a grocery store that had an awesome bakery/deli department. When I quit working there, to leave for Army Basic Training, I asked Margie (the manager of the bakery)for the recipe because I loved it so much, and she was kind enough to give it to me.

Ingredients For sour cream coffee cake

2 csugar

1 cbutter (melted)

8 ozsour cream

2 call purpose flour

2 lgeggs

1 tspbaking powder

1 tspvanilla extract

3 Tbspbrown sugar

3/4 tspcinnamon, ground

1/2 cpecans, in pieces
How To Make sour cream coffee cake

1Combine sugar, melted butter, and eggs. Mix well.

2Add sour cream, vanilla, flour, and baking powder. Hand mix, not beaten.

3Mix together brown sugar, cinnamon, and pecans, pouring half of it on the batter.

4Add remaining batter and top with remaining sugar mixture.

5Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes, or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
