Ingredients For sour cream apple nut coffee cake

1/2 cshortning

1 csugar

2 scoopeggs

1 tspvanilla

2 cflour

1 tspsoda

1 tspbaking powder

1/4 tspsalt

1 csour cream

2 cfinely chopped peeled apples

1/2 cchopped nuts, or more

1/2 cbrown sugar, firmly packed

1 tspcinnamon

2 Tbspmelted butter
How To Make sour cream apple nut coffee cake

1Cream shortning and sugar, add eggs and vanilla, beat well.

2Sift flour, soda, baking powder and salt, add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Fold in finely chopped peeled apples.

3Put in a greased 9 x 13 pan.

4Combine melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Sprinkle on cake.

5Bake at 350 degrees for approx. 35 - 40 minutes.
