Ingredients For sour cream apple nut coffee cake

  • 1/2 c
    shortning
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 2 scoop
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    soda
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 2 c
    finely chopped peeled apples
  • 1/2 c
    chopped nuts, or more
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp
    melted butter

How To Make sour cream apple nut coffee cake

    Cream shortning and sugar, add eggs and vanilla, beat well.

    Sift flour, soda, baking powder and salt, add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. Fold in finely chopped peeled apples.

    Put in a greased 9 x 13 pan.

    Combine melted butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Sprinkle on cake.

    Bake at 350 degrees for approx. 35 - 40 minutes.
