YOU WILL USE 1 CUP OF THIS CAKE BATTER TO PUT INTO THE FROSTING. This is a very unusual recipe that was given to me by my (now deceased) sister-in-law. She was a wonderful cook and always shared her recipes with me. I remember this one especially since she only gave it to a few friends. A great lady and a great cook. If you like PINEAPPLE , you will love this cake.

Ingredients For sister-in-law pineapple cake

prepare 1 box of yellow cake mix according to directions on box.

*reserve 1 cup of cake batter.

pour cake batter into a 9 x 13 baking pan

bake time shown on cake mix box.
How To Make sister-in-law pineapple cake

1Frosting Recipe: 1 can (15 1/2oz. ) undrained crushed pineapple 1 stick oleo 1 1/2 cups sugar Dash of sale * 1 CUP OF CAKE BATTER 1/2 tsp. vanilla Combine pineapple, oleo and sugar in saucepan. Cook over medium heat and bring to a boil. Add * CAKE BATTER, stirring constantly until it thickens. Remove from heat, add salt and vanilla. Frost cake while warm.

2You may use butter in place of the Oleo in frosting.
