2 cflour, sifted

3 tspbaking powder

1 tspsalt

1-1/4 csugar

1/2 cbutter, softened

2eggs

1 cmilk

1 tspvanilla

1/2 tsporange extract

2squares (2 ounces) shaved semi-sweet or german's chocolate
How To Make ruth's dotted swiss cake

1Combine dry ingredients. Set aside. Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, beating well after each egg.

2Combine milk, vanilla and orange extract. Add alternately with the dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Blend well after each addition. Blend in shaved chocolate.

3Put batter into 2- greased 8 inch or 9 inch layer pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Cool; frost with a chocolate cream cheese frosting.
