Ingredients For rum cake

  • 1 bottle
    duncan hines golden yellow cake mix
  • 1 box
    small box instant vanilla pudding
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1 c
    chopped mediun-fine peacans
  • 1/2 c
    light rum
  • 1/2 c
    vegetable oil
  • GLAZE
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    white rum
  • 1 stick
    butter

How To Make rum cake

  • 1
    Grease/flour pan sprinkle pecans evenly over bottom of cake(Christmas tree pan works great) or Round or square cake pan. 1 Pan per cake Mix cake & pudding in bowl toss lightly. Add 1/2 c rum, 1/2 c oil, 4 eggs beat 2-4 minutes. Pour cake carefully in pan not disturbing nuts Bake 325 degrees 50-60 minutes. Remove from oven when cake test is done. Immediately poke small holes around the cake and pour glaze over cake. Remove cake from pan after glaze sets.
