This Rum Cake is easy to make and I've taken it to gatherings many times,

Ingredients For rum cake
-
1 cup chopped pecans
-
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
-
1 3 3/4 oz pkg. vanilla pudding

4 eggs
-
1/2 cup each cold water, vegetable oil and rum
- GLAZE
-
1 stick margarine
-
1/4 cup water
-
1 cup sugar
-
1/2 cup rum
How To Make rum cake

1Grease and flour a bundt pan. ( I use Pam )

2Sprinkle pecans on bottom.

3Combine remaining ingredients, blending well. Pour batter over nuts.

4Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hr. or until done. Cool.

5Invert onto cake plate. Poke holes in cake with a toothpick.(I use a wooden skewer).

6In saucepan combine glaze ingredients except for rum. Boil 5 minutes stirring frequently. Add rum to glaze last and pour over cooled cake.
