This is an easy choc. pound cake that u can drizzle or powdered sugar, it's delicious either way/w ice cream too.

Ingredients For rose's chocolate pound cake

  • 3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 3 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    unsweetened cocoa
  • 1
    stick unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 c
    shortening
  • 1 1/4 c
    whole milk
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 5
    extra large eggs

How To Make rose's chocolate pound cake

    Preheat oven to 325 line the bottom of a 10inch tube pan with parchment paper and spray with a baking spray set aside

    In the bowl of the electric mixer, dry whisk flour, sugar and cocoa together. Gradually add butter, shortening, milk beat on low first and medium until mixed thoroughly. Add the baking powder and salt, mix. add vanilla and eggs one at a time beating after each addition. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 1 1/2 hours, test. Cool in cake pan at least 20 minutes.

    I either make a chocolate drizzle or just powder sugar and serve with ice cream if u want. Enjoy
