1 cwhite granulated sugar

1/2 cmilk on hand; heated to boil

1 Tbspbutter or margarine melted in the hot milk

1 csifted flour
-
1 tspbaking powder
-
1/4 tspsalt
- COCONUT ICING

9 Tbspbrown sugar
-
5 Tbspbutter or margarine
-
5 Tbspcream or carnation milk

1 cflaked coconut
How To Make rita's lazy daisy cake 1960

1Beat 2 eggs well ADD 1 cup of sugar continue beating, ADD vanilla the hot milk and butter to egg/sugar mixture

2Sift the dry ingredients together ADD to wet mixture Combine well but DO NOT overbeat.

3Butter an 8x8 pan Pour mixture into pan BAKE IN A 350 oven 30 minutes or until light brown REMOVE FROM OVEN PUT OVEN TO BROILER

4ICING: Combine all ingredient and and boil on stove for 3 or 4 minutes POUR over hot cake. RETURN TO OVEN TO BROWN. WATCH CAREFULLY NOT TO BURN THE TOPPING.
