This is such a smooth and moist lemon tube cake . Don't worry that it has mayonnaise in it ..give it a try and you will be amazed on how delicious this cake is. It makes a good conversation piece when people are trying to figure out what the secret ingredient is .

Ingredients For remarkable pound cake

  • 1 box
    lemon or yellow cake mix (2 layer size)
  • 1 pkg
    instant lemon pudding mix (dry)
  • 1 c
    mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 1 c
    water
  • 2
    eggs
  • FROSTING :
  • 1 c
    confectioners' sugar
  • 3 Tbsp
    mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 2 tsp
    grated lemon rind

How To Make remarkable pound cake

    Blend all the ingredients with an electric mixer on low speed.

    Beat on medium speed for 10 minutes.

    Pour into an ungreased 10" tube pan , with the removeable bottom.(angel food cake pan)

    Bake @ 350° for 1 hr.

    Remove side of pan and allow to cool.
  • 6
    Blend the frosting ingredients until smooth.

    Frost before serving if desired.
