I have never seen this on any other cake, it is the best frosting for the cake.

Ingredients For red velvet cake frosting

  • 5 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    butter
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla

How To Make red velvet cake frosting

    Cook flour and milk until thick stirring constantly, cool
  • 2
    Cream sugar, butter and vanilla until smooth, no grains of sugar present. Add cooled flour mixture, BEAT until it has a whipped cream consistency. If it appears a bit curdled continue to beat. Spread between the layers and the top, it makes a generous amount and you should be able to coat the sides as well.
