I remember Mom making this 30 years ago after she met my Dad, she would make it at holidays and for my brother Dean's birthdays; it is his favorite cake. This moist sweet cake doesn't need any frosting, great served as dessert or great for tea, coffee or a woman's luncheon.

Ingredients For quick & easy fruit wine cake

  • 1 pkg
    yellow cake mix
  • 1 pkg
    small vanilla instant pudding mix
  • 4
    eggs
  • 3/4 c
    oil
  • 3/4 c
    red currant wine, or any red fruity wine. (mom says currant wine is the best.)
  • 1 tsp
    nutmeg

How To Make quick & easy fruit wine cake

  • 1
    Combine all ingedients. Mix with electric beater about 5 minutes at medium speed.
  • 2
    Pour batter into greased angel food, or bundt cake pan.
  • 3
    Bake at 350 degrees about 45 minutes. Cool in pan 5 minutes before turning out on rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
