I have had this recipe for a good deal of time, it comes from a country Inn (B&B) and is great served at a High tea or a tea time usually around 2-4 p.m., it is also great served at small functions or prayer meetings. Additions:Chopped Walnuts & Pecans Storage: Store in airtight container up to 3 days for those without icing

Ingredients For pumpkin raisin squares

    unsalted butter, softened
  • 2/3 c
    light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 lg
    egg (at room temperature)
  • 1/2 c
    pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt & ginger
  • 3/4 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg & clove
  • 1/2 c
    raisins
  • 2 Tbsp
    cream cheese, softened
  • 1 c
    confestioners sugar
