2½ cups sugar

1 cup vegetable oil

3 eggs

3 cups flour

2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tsp ground nutmeg

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp ground cloves

1 can solid pack pumpkin, 15 oz

How To Make pumpkin pound cake

1In a mixing bowl, blend sugar and oil. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and cloves; add to egg mixture alternately with pumpkin. Transfer to a greased 12 cup fluted tube pan. Bake at 350 for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack. Remove pan and cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar. Makes 12 to 16 servings.
