    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    applesauce, unsweetened
  • 1/2 c
    canola oil
  • 15 oz
    pumpkin, canned
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    pumpkin pie spice (more if you'd like)
  • FROSTING
  • 6 oz
    cream cheese, room temperature
  • 6 Tbsp
    butter, room temperature
  • 1 tsp
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 3 c
    powdered sugar

How To Make pumpkin cake bars w/ cream cheese frosting

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease jelly roll pan. Set aside.

    Beat first 4 ingredients to combine. Mix together dry and add to the wet, stirring to thoroughly combine. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 25-30 minutes.

    While baking, beat all frosting ingredients together. If you desire a thinner frosting, reduce the cream cheese to 4oz and the powdered sugar to 2 cups. Frost cake when slightly warm, and enjoy!!
