I made this cake for my niece's birthday party. I never understood why it was called a "Princess Cake" until she saw it,because she said "hello I'm the princess!" LOL need I say more lol...

Ingredients For princess cake...

1 ccake flour

1 1/2 csugar
-
3 tspbaking powder
-
1 tspsalt
-
1/4 cvegetable oil
-
4eggs, separated

1/4 ccold water
-
2 Tbspcold water
-
1 tspvanilla extract
-
1/4 tspcream of tartar
How To Make princess cake...

1Heat oven to 350F.

2Sift together the first 4 ingredients into mixing bowl. Make a hole in the dry ingredients.Add the oil, egg yolks, water & vanilla. Beat until smooth on medium speed for about 1 min.

3In another bowl mix the egg whites & cream of tartar. beat on high speed for 3 to 5 mins until stiff peaks & glossy.

4Pour egg yolk mixture gradually over egg whites & gently fold to blend. make sure not to stir.

5Pour immediately into non greased 10 inch pan & bake for 30 to 35 mins. Turn pan upside down over glass bottle to cool.

6Loosen with knife, turn pan back over & hit edges sharply on table to loosen.

7Then cut into 1 equal half. Spread some white or vanilla frosting on the first layer. Top with top layer and frost.
