Ingredients For plum upside down cake

12small fresh plums, peeled and pitted

1/2 cbrown sugar, packed

1/4 cbutter, melted

1 call-purpose flour

1/2 cgranulated sugar

2egg
-
1/4 tspsalt

1/2 tspbaking powder
-
1/4 cmilk
-
1 tspfresh lemon zest
-
1 tsplemon extract, or lemon juice

2 tspalmond extract
How To Make plum upside down cake

1Preheat oven to 350*.

2Mix together brown sugar and melted butter. Spread into the bottom of a 9" cake pan. Place plum pieces on top of brown sugar mixture.

3Beat eggs and granulated sugar until thick and lemon colored. Add milk, lemon zest, and both extracts.

4In a second bowl mix together dry ingredients. Add to egg mixture. Mix well.

5Pour batter over plums.

6Bake 30-35 minutes until browned and a toothpick inserted in the center is removed clean.

7Let cool 5-10 minutes and invert onto a plate.
