This recipe belongs to my friend Sheryl Bennett. She made it last St. Patrick's Day and it was great. She also makes it gluten free for her daughter or any other gluten free guests. Just use a gluten free cake mix.

Ingredients For pistachio cake

  • CAKE
  • 1 box
    yellow or white cake mix
  • 1 box
    instant pistachio pudding
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    crisco oil
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • TOPPING
  • 3 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 2 Tbsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 c
    walnuts, chopped

How To Make pistachio cake

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a tube pan with butter or shortening.

    Mix the cake ingredients until it looks like pudding. Mix the topping ingredients.. Pour half the batter into the pan and sprinkle with half the topping.

    Put the remaining batter in and top with remaining topping.

    Bake for 50 to 60 minutes.
