This is a southern recipe ,if you like a spice cake ,maybe you will like this one . you can not see ,or taste the beans,it's one of my Mom's favorite cakes .

Ingredients For pinto bean cake

1 csugar

1/4 cbutter
-
1egg
-
2 ccooked pinto beans , mashed

1 tspvanilla extract

1 call purpose flour
-
1 tspbaking soda
-
1 crasins
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1 tspground cinnamon
-
1/4 tspground cloves
-
1/2 tspground allspices
-
1/2 cchopped pecans
-
2 cdiced apples ( peeled)

1stick butter
-
1 cbrown sugar , firmly packed

1/4 cmilk
-
2 cpowered sugar , well sifted
How To Make pinto bean cake

1Preheat oven to 375 % . Grease 2 , 8 inch round ( or ) square pans .

2Cream butter and sugar together . Add the beaten egg and mix well .Stir in the mashed cooked beans and vanilla .

3Sift the flour , baking soda , salt , cinnamon , cloves , and allspice together .Add the chopped pecans , raisins , and the diced apples to the flour mixture . Stir to coat . Pour flour mixture into the creamed mixture and stir until mixed well . Pour batter into prepared pans .

4Bake at 375 % for 45 minutes .Let cool .

5Melt the butter over low heat , in a saucepan . Add the brown sugar , and milk , bring to a boil and remove from heat .Let cool .

6Add the powdered sugar , and mix until well blended .

7frost bottom layer , place other layer on top . and frost top and sides .
