I have tried to make off and on over the years but was not ever able to make one that didn't fall apart. I was telling my sister-in-law about it and she gave me this recipe.It turned out so beautifully that I keep the ingredients all the time. After making this cake you will make it often.

Ingredients For pineapple cake

  • 1 box
    yellow cake mix
  • 1 lg
    can pineapple slices
  • margerine brown sugar

How To Make pineapple cake

    get a large cast iron skillet.Rub margerine over the inside.put gobs and gobs of margerine.You want it very thick on the inside of pan.

    Mix the cake mix as directed on box. spread margerine on the inside of iron skillet.Put it very thick.Pat brown sugar onto the margerine. Put pineapple slices onto the brown sugar.use cherries if they are wanted.Pour cake mix over the pineapple slices.Bake for 50 minutes,or when toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.
