Ingredients For pina colada cake for cc

  • CAKE:
  • 1/2 c
    chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1/4 c
    flaked coconut
  • 18 oz
    yellow cake mix with pudding in the mix
  • 4 lg
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    cold water
  • 1/2 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1/3 c
    dark rum
  • 2 pkg
    bartenders pina colada mix,powdered mix,dry (only 1 size) if you use the liquid mix omit the cold water
  • GLAZE:
  • 1/4 c
    oleo, melted(butter or margarine)
  • 1/4 c
    water
  • 1 pkg
    pina colada mix,powdered mix,dry(only 1 size ) if you use liquid mix omit the water
  • 1 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c
    dark rum

How To Make pina colada cake for cc

    Spray and flour a 10-inch tube or bundt pan. Sprinkle pecans or walnuts on the bottom. then sprinkle coconut in evenly over and between nuts. Place cake mix in a mixer bowl, add the eggs, water and oil and mix well for 1 minute on medium. Add rum and pina colada mix and beat well to blend. Pour carefully into prepared pan so as not to disturb nuts and coconut. Bake in 325^ oven for 1 hour. Cool slightly- invert onto plate. Poke holes in top with a fork- drizzle glaze over top. --- Glaze: Combine oleo, water, pina colada mix and sugar in a small saucepan and bring to a boil and boil 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from heat and add the rum. Drizzle over cake until all is used up. If necessary wait a few minutes between pouring to let it seep in.
