This is one delicious coffee cake. It's always a hit when I take it for Church potlucks. So moist and delicious! Enjoy!

  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 1/2 stick
    butter, softened
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • PECAN TOPPING
  • 3/4 - 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 c
    chopped, pecans
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon

How To Make pecan pleasin coffee cake ~

    Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with bakers joy or grease and flour. In a medium bowl, cream sugar with butter until fluffy. Add eggs and beat until thoroughly blended.

    Add sour cream and mix until thoroughly blended. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Beat flour mixture into the sour cream mixture until thoroughly mixed.

    Spread batter into prepared baking dish.

    Mix brown sugar with cinnamon and pecans. Sprinkle evenly over batter. Using a knife, swirl sugar mixture with batter. Take 1 tablespoon of soft butter and pinch pieces off and evenly sprinkle over the top of cake.This is optional.

    Lay a piece of foil loosely over cake and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10 - 15 minutes or until pick comes out clean.
