I've been making these since I was probably 8 or 9. I was given a little spiral bound Betty Crocker cookbook and this was one of the recipes. I've made them so often I memorized it! The cookbook is long gone, if I had the name I'd give credit.

Ingredients For pecan blondie

  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1 c
    oil
  • 1 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make pecan blondie

    Preheat oven to 350, grease a 9 x 13 pan
  • 2
    Mix together both sugars, eggs, vanilla, salt, and oil
  • 3
    Mix the flour and baking powder together and pour into the first mixture. Add the chopped pecans and mix only until no more flour is visible.

    Pour into baking dish and bake for 35-45 minutes, a toothpick should come out clean.
