Ingredients For peanut butter cake

1 cpeanut butter, creamy

2 csugar

1 tspvanilla

2 call purpose flour, sifted

1/4 cshortening

3eggs
-
1 cmilk

1 Tbspbaking powder
- FROSTING

18 ozpeanut butter

1 tspvanilla
How To Make peanut butter cake

1Cream peanut butter, shortening and sugar.

2Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well.

3Alternate sifted flour with baking powder and milk

4Pour into greased 9x13 pan. (I typically spray with Pam) Bake at 350 degrees until done (start testing with toothpick at 25 min)

5FROSTING: Cook milk and sugar to soft ball stage; add vanilla; add peanut butter; stir to spreading consistency. Beat until it starts to lose its gloss. If too thick, add a little milk 1 T. at a time. If too thin, add peanut butter. Spread on cooled cake. (this is a fudge type frosting and is as thick as the picture shows)
